Easter Must Makes
Below are my favorite recipes that I make every Easter! I hope you browse our Easter recipe archives and find a few things that will work for you, too!
Easter Main Dishes
- My family is ham-crazy, so I make either this Whiskey Cola-Glazed Ham or this Honey-Baked Ham recipe each year. I always get more than I need so that we can use leftovers (more on that below).
- Every once in a while, I do something completely different, like these Italian Short Ribs (the best part is you can make them the day ahead).
- Or this Ina Garten Beef Tenderloin with Gorgonzola sauce. Super easy!
Epic Easter Sides
- Corn casserole without Jiffy is probably my favorite (**New crockpot version coming this week)
- The best au Gratin Potatoes recipe is always a HUGE hit — they are gluten-free!
- Green Bean Casserole without Mushroom Soup or these stovetop Southern-Style Green Beans.
- These cheesy funeral potatoes gluten free are to die for! Or this Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole crockpot.
Easter Brunch Favorites
- Our favorite Orange Scones or this light and lemon coffee cake recipe!
- Spectacular Italian Pizza Rustica recipe.
- Try our favorite gooey Cinnamon Rolls, my Peach Cobbler cinnamon rolls, or these Apple Pie Cinnamon rolls.
- Chile Relleno Casserole or this Vegetarian Tater Tot Casserole or one of our favorites is this Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole – a huge treat!
Easter Desserts
- Italian Cream Puff Cake – a real showstopper! Or this Italian Ricotta Cake (lemon!!)
- Oreo dessert – a no-bake WOW kind of dessert that you can make ahead!
- Easter Sugar Cookie Cake or these fun Cadbury Sugar Cookies.
- These bundt cakes go crazy every Easter — for good reason, they are so good!
A week in my life…
Our oldest is back at college, and our youngest is home for spring break this week. We’ve so enjoyed having him around! He even let me cut his hair!
I made Stovetop Shepherd’s pie for him on Sunday (with extra mashed potatoes), and I have his favorite High Altitude Chocolate Chip Cookies in the oven now. I made him this Healthy Mongolian Beef recipe, tossing in some leftover spaghetti pasta for a lo mein-type of feel.
I enjoyed having lunch with a new friend and an old friend who just so happened to know each other, and I had a great evening with longtime girlfriends celebrating a birthday! I went up to visit my mom and bonus-dad last week. It’s been way too long since I’ve seen her! It was so good to spend a few hours with them both!

Fun Fact About Me
I married later in life. God brought us together in our mid-30s, marrying at 35 and 36—firsts for us both, and going strong 23 years later! I’m 58. I thought I’d save you doing the math because that’s what I would do! LOL!
We had our boys 19 months apart because “I ain’t getting any younger”. We didn’t waste anytime getting our family started, which is probably why we are enjoying empty nesting so much!
What Readers Are Saying about…
Liquid Cane Sugar
Use this Cane sugar simple syrup to sweeten all your drinks! It’s especially great in cocktails, mocktails, and iced teas—there is no sugar to dissolve!
This was so simple — haha! I used it for a speciality drink I made and loved it! Will keep it on hand to sweeten all my drinks!

Fresh Inspiration – Hope
The cross is the universal symbol of Christianity…
One beam horizontal, the other vertical…
One represents the width of His love; the other the height of His holiness.
The cross is the intersection…where God forgave His children without lowering His standards. ~Max Lucado
