A glorious Friday to you friends!
I hope you are healthy and well this week, so many people we know are sick; our family has had a cold run through it ourselves, thankfully we are all on the mend.
But it got me to thinking about how this time of year, soups taste so delicious and are especially good when you feel under the weather, so I’ll highlight a few of my favorites below.
While we’re at it, I’m going to highlight my favorite immune boosting recipes too!
And it might seem a little late, but if you are like me you have leftover eggnog — a brand new recipe for Eggnog Coffee Cake is below!
Many reached out about the horrible fires in Colorado last week, we are about an hour from the area impacted, I had a brother in pre-evacuation — but I am grateful, they were spared. But I feel like we all know someone who was affected by this fire.
If you are moved, this is a GoFundMe for a family my mom knows from church. There are other organizations collecting money, but be careful, sadly there are a lot of scams that popped up just as quickly.

Eggnog Coffee Cake
I know that I am late in getting this out, but this recipe was on repeat the last few weeks of the holidays and I am just now getting a chance to get it posted and the reason I am highlighting it now is because if you are like me, you have leftover eggnog and this is a GREAT way to use it!
Do you make a New Years Resolution?
Are you a resolution person? I am not, because I always fail, but what I do love doing each year is coming up with a word to focus on for the year and usually a Bible verse.
My husband and I have been doing some couples counseling (all good stuff, just like a well-check) and our counselor has been having us focus on thinking about the “much more” we want in our marriage. We both love that and have been having fun talking about the “much more” we want. So my word and verse for the year, fit perfectly!
Word for the Year | FULLNESS
“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
What’s your word?!?
I hope you know how much I appreciate you, each and every week jumping over here and reading through my posts, making my recipes, letting me know how much you like them. That means the world to me and I couldn’t do what I am privileged to do each week without you!

Love your “one word”, makes me think of the verse “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace” (John 1:16) which happens to go with my one word…gratitude! I am grateful for you and your blog that brings fresh recipes and ideas to my in-box each Friday and always reminds me of the many blessings from our famiy’s time at Greenwood Community Church.
Kathleen Pope
I might have to steal your verse to go along with mine, I am loving it! I cherish our times together at Greenwood too my friend! Happy new year to you!

My word is..Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
And…
Proverbs 16:9 the mind of man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.
Kathleen Pope
I love both of those verses Dell, strong and faith-filled! Thank you so much for sharing them! May your new year be blessed!
