Why you will love this Marshmallow Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

You know those recipes that feel like magic because they’re so easy and taste so good? This is one of them. Three ingredients, five minutes, and you have a sweet, creamy dip that turns any fruit into dessert. No cooking, no fuss—just mix and you’re done. Perfect when you need something fast but still want people to be like, “What is this?!” as they go back for more.

I’ve been making dips like this since my boys were little—they weren’t always the best fruit eaters, but give them a little serving of this after school with fresh berries and apple slices, and they’d gobble them down in no time.

Plus, it’s gluten-free, and if you want to lighten it up a bit, a few easy swaps and you’re good to go without losing any flavor. Trust me, whether you’re piling it on strawberries or sneaking a spoonful straight from the bowl, this dip’s a keeper.

Expert Tips for the Best Fluff Fruit Dip

  • Whip It Good! – For an extra fluffy texture, beat the ingredients together with a hand mixer for about a minute. It adds air and makes the dip super light and creamy.
  • Let It Chill (If You Can!) – While it’s good right away, a 30-minute rest in the fridge helps the flavors meld and makes it thicker.
  • Make It Your Own – Want a flavor boost? Add a splash of vanilla, a squeeze of citrus or a sprinkle of cinnamon to give it a twist.

What is seriously not to love about a dessert fruit dip? Make a hum-drum day so much more special with one of these sweet dips. Try my Oreo Fluff, this seasonal Pumpkin Fluff, chocolate-lovers Chocolate Fruit Dip and this easy Fruit dip without Marshmallow Fluff.

Marshmallow fruit dip, 3 ingredients.

Easy Fruit Dip ingredients

  • Cream cheese | Add cream cheese softened to room temperature for a silky texture and tangy flavor.
  • Marshmallow Creme | Fluffy and sweet marshmallow creme is perfect for this simple fruit dip. Depending on where you live in the country, this is also known as marshmallow fluff or marshmallow cream.
  • Vanilla | A little vanilla extract enhances the simple flavors of the marshmallow cream cheese fruit dip. Change your extract and change the flavor!

How to make Fruit Dip with Marshmallow Fluff

Set out a medium bowl and, using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese until creamy and smooth.

Add marshmallow cream and vanilla until the mixture is well-combined with a smooth and fluffy texture.

Then, chill the marshmallow cream fruit dip until transferred to a serving bowl, and serve it with your favorite fresh fruits and more!

Fresh tips for making Marshmallow Fluff Fruit Dip

  • For easier mixing, use an electric mixer. You can whip this by hand, use a strong whisk for best results, and pat yourself on the back for your arm workout!
  • For a healthier version of this easy fruit dip recipe, swap the full-fat cream cheese for low-fat Neufchatel cream cheese.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with fresh fruit, crackers, cookies, pound cake, and more! Try it with classic animal crackers, peanut butter cookies, vanilla wafers, or on a fruit charcuterie board. It would be delicious with my Fall Breakfast Charcuterie Board.

Bake up my easy shortbread recipe and cut into tiny fingers for dipping; this dip is also delicious using pretzel rods or sticks for a sweet-salty treat. But I will be honest, my boys (including the hubby) will grab a spoon — no judgment here!

Fruit for Dipping:

Make up a tray using a variety of fruits with a bowl of this delicious fruit dip recipe in the middle.

  • Berries – Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and more! Fresh berries are perfect for this sweet and fluffy fruit dip. For smaller berries, like blueberries, use skewers to make dipping easier!
  • Grapes – Juicy green or red grapes are delicious when dipped in the soft marshmallow cream fruit dip. Skewer a few to make it easier!
  • Tropical fruits – Flavorful pineapple, kiwi, and mangos are excellent options for dipping into this creamy fruit dip.
  • Pears, Apples and Bananas – Crispy sliced apples and pears contrast the silky texture of the marshmallow fluff fruit dip.
  • Melons – The subtle flavors of melons, like cantaloupe and watermelon, make great dippers for the rich sweetness of the dip.
  • Peaches – Like grapes, the juiciness of peaches combines with the simply-sweet dip oh-so-well!
  • Oranges – Peel cuties or mandarin oranges, or sweet naval oranges for dipping.

S’mores Dip

Serve with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Thins, graham crackers, marshmallows, and small dark chocolate pieces. Perfect for fall festivals and Halloween parties.

10 Different Flavor Options for Marshmallow Fruit Dip

This simple fruit dip with marshmallow fluff recipe is easy to customize with your favorite flavors.

  • Flavor Swap – Switch things up using another extract instead of classic vanilla or flavored cream cheese, try strawberry, lemon, maple extract or almond extract.
  • Chocolate – Add a tablespoon of melted chocolate or cocoa powder to create a rich chocolatey fruit dip, perfect for dipping strawberries and bananas, or try this Chocolate Fruit dip instead!
  • Citrus – Add a bit of orange or lemon zest and a few drops of sweet and sour juice for the best fruit dip! Delicious with mangoes, pineapple, and all citrus fruits.
  • Fall Spice – Mix in warm spices, like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, or add 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, for a fall-flavored fruit dip that works well with apples and other fruits.
  • Nutty Fruit Dip – Add your favorite chopped nuts or a combination. Walnuts, peanuts, hazelnuts and almonds are excellent choices! You could even add a spoonful of Nutella.
  • Tropical Vibes – Sprinkle in shredded coconut for a tropical flavor that will pair beautifully with mango, papaya, pineapples, kiwi and other exotic fruits.
  • Peanut Butter – Make delicious peanut butter and marshmallow fruit dip for fresh apples, bananas, and celery sticks. Swirl in a spoonful of granola butter or your favorite nut butter.
  • Honey Vanilla – Add a swirl of your favorite honey and some extra vanilla extract for a cozy honey vanilla fruit dip.
  • Peppermint – For a cool and fresh mint twist, replace the vanilla extract with peppermint extract – perfect for the holiday season!
  • Tropical Mango Tango: Puree ripe mango and mix it into the marshmallow dip for a tropical burst of flavor. Try it with pineapple, papaya, and mango chunks.

Make Individual “Walking” Fruit Dip Cups

Like my charcuterie cups, place a dollop of the marshmallow fruit dip into the bottom of a short cup, and add skewers with berries, melon, pineapple, and your favorite fruits. Add a few graham crackers and other nibbles, and you are ready.

I’ve made this recipe for years and love it. I’m wondering if I could substitute 12oz of whipped cream cheese in place of the 8oz block of cream cheese.

Hi DeAnn, yes, you absolutely can replace it with whipped cream cheese. It will be a little airier and lighter than it would with block cream cheese, I’d start with a equal amounts (8 ounces) and add more to get the thickness and texture that you want.Let me know how it goes.
