Cookies for Kids Cancer
This recipe is part of The Sweetest Season, an annual virtual cookie swap co-hosted by Erin of The Speckled Palate and Susannah of Feast + West. Every year, food bloggers get together to share new holiday cookie recipes to make and give.
This year we are raising money for Cookies 4 Kids’ Cancer, which is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to funding research for new, innovative and less-toxic treatments for childhood cancer.
Since 2008, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer has granted nearly $18 million to pediatric cancer research in the form of 100+ research grants to leading pediatric cancer centers across the country. From these grants have stemmed 35+ treatments available to kids battling cancer today.
Help us raise money for this important cause! Donate through our fundraising page.
Another exciting thing is that Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is in a matching window with their friends at OXO, meaning OXO will be matching every dollar raised through the end of 2023, up to $100,000. Whatever money we raise will automatically double on our fundraising page!

- Vanilla | Vanilla extract deepens the flavor of the nougat.

How to Make Snickers Fudge
Step 1 | Mix the first layer
First, line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper so the fudge will be super simple to remove from the pan.
Next, add the chocolate chips and peanut butter to a small bowl and heat it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Stir the ingredients, microwave for another 20 seconds, and stir until the chocolate mixture is creamy and smooth.
Then, pour it into the bottom of the prepared pan in an even layer and set it in the freezer to harden.
Fresh Tips
- When heating the peanut butter and chocolate in the microwave, be sure to stir well between each interval. This will help prevent the chocolate from seizing.
Step 2 | Make the Nougat Layer (second layer)
Prep and measure out your nougat ingredients, making the process go faster. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and evaporated milk, bringing the ingredients to a boil.
Continue cooking for three more minutes, stirring constantly, then remove the pan from the heat and mix in the marshmallow cream, peanut butter, and vanilla while the ingredients are still hot.
Next, stir in the chopped peanuts until they are well incorporated, and pour the peanut mixture over the chocolate layer, spreading evenly. Return the pan to the freezer.
Step 3 | Make the Caramel Layer (middle layer)
Then, add the caramels and evaporated milk to a small saucepan, cooking over medium-low heat. Stir the ingredients constantly until the caramel is smooth and melted. Add the caramel layer to the pan in the freezer, returning it to continue chilling after creating an even layer.
Step 4 | Top Layer
For the top chocolate layer, repeat the same instructions as the bottom chocolate layer. Add the chocolate chips and peanut butter to a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 seconds, stirring between, until the mixture is silky-smooth. Then, pour an even layer on the caramel layer and smooth with an offset spatula.
Step 5 | Chill, slice, and serve!
Finally, refrigerate the pan for at least an hour or place it back into the freezer for 30 minutes. Remove the Snickers fudge by grabbing the parchment paper and placing it on a cutting board. Then, cut the fudge into small cubes to serve. Enjoy!
Fresh Tips
- Don’t walk away from the caramel! Stay by the pot and stir constantly so the sugars do not burn.
