As we head into the season of gratitude and thanks-giving, I wanted to take a moment and remind YOU, how very much I appreciate each of you, my fellow; bakers, cooks, strugglers, messer uppers, and kind-hearted readers. Without you, this blog would not be possible! I am humbled!

It continues to be a stunning fall here in Colorado, though in between days of horrible smoke from all the fires; please join me in praying for our firefighters to get these horrible fires under control.

Many of you made or downloaded this amazing Sunday Pot Roast recipe last week, and I heard some great things!

I think you are going to love the recipe this week! Autumn’s best dessert — Old Fashioned Apple Crisp (Gluten free/Vegan options). I made it numerous times recently (both gluten free/vegan and regular) and it’s received rave reviews from all who have tried it. Delicious with vanilla ice cream, maybe even homemade?

And since we’re heading into Halloween, I cannot help but think Chili. This Firecracker Chili is a bit different, spicy, but not hot, with a hint of cinnamon – so delicious and kid friendly (plus hidden veggies)!

Feed your Pirates and Princesses a hearty meal before they head out! And a must to go with it is this simple, but oh-so delicious Buttermilk Cornbread!

Holiday & Christmas Shopping

I know, it seems way too early, but online retailers are anticipating a much busier than normal online shopping season, pushing out delivery times 1-2 weeks. So shop early as they say, plus it’s less stressful!
