Honey Bran Muffin {Mimi’s Copycat}
These muffins are fabulous. I add two teaspoons of cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg, â…› teaspoon of cloves, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and because I add 2 ½ defrosted frozen bananas, I add ¼ cup of flour. Incredible flavor. The best bran muffins I’ve ever eaten!

In the here and now | Real life stories
We are getting ready to start on some remodeling this summer, so my husband and I spent the weekend running all over town to try and find wood flooring that will match the wood we put into our kitchen 11 years ago; not an easy task, but I think we found one!
I hope you will join me; as we update our mud room, powder bath, and office and even give our family room a fabulous facelift.
Plus, I had the ladies from my Bible study over for a tea party; we had SO much fun; in fact, I had so much fun I forgot to take pictures!
I made Chicken Tarragon salad, Maple Apple Pecan Salad, Orange Scones, Gluten-free Oat Scones, Lemon Shortbread cookies, and Passion Tea. Others brought fruit, cucumber sandwiches, and chocolate muffins! We had SO much fun!

Weekly Inspiration
This is from Proverbs 31 — taken from an excerpt from John Eldredge’s book, Get Your Life Back. This book meant the world to me and my husband; he was going through a lot, and this book encouraged our souls.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Boy, oh boy, is it hard to disentangle from our world.
I’ve spent the previous 24 hours obsessing over a comment someone made to me during a business meeting.
Honestly, it was only a simple observation on their part, shared within a larger conversation. But the observation was about me, and you know how that goes — in a 20-minute conversation, it became the one thing I seized upon, like that chia seed caught between your teeth. You can’t think about anything else; your tongue searches it out and hovers around it.
Over time, the quite simple, rather benign remark has become filled with implication and all sorts of subterfuge as I wonder and worry and speculate over what this colleague meant. I think you know well the experience I’m talking about — somebody says something to you in passing, and later you find yourself wondering, then worrying, what they meant by it. Read the rest here.
