Fresh Mintfor garnish, or chop some and mix into fruit salad
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mango, oranges, pineapple, strawberries, and grapes.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, cinnamon, and Taijin seasoning until well combined.
Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss it to coat. Refrigerate for 1 hour, covered before serving for best flavors.
Before serving, gently stir the salad and garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired, or add 2-4 chopped mint leaves and gently stir in. If desired, sprinkle a little additional Tajin on top of the fruit.
Notes
Fresh is best! Juice limes for the best flavor. The number of limes will vary depending on their size of them and how juicy they are.
Get the most out of your limes - roll the limes on a flat surface, using the palm of your hand. This loosens things up and will help get the most juice out of it.
Tajin seasoning is found with spices or in the produce section with minced garlic in your grocery store. It is an all-natural, sugar-free, gluten-free blend of chili powder, lime, and salt. If you don’t have it, you can substitute chili powder. If you do purchase it for this recipe, you can also use it in any Mexican dish to add flavor.
For a variation, add or substitute any of the following fruits:
Try papaya, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, or, if you’re feeling exotic, toss in some dragonfruit!
Add your favorite berries; blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pitted cherries.
When they are in season, add nectarines, peaches, plums or your favorite stone fruit.
Pears and apples would also be amazing!
Add some sliced bananas, and dip them in a little lime or lemon juice before adding so they won't turn brown.
I personally love crunchy jicama and cucumber is delicious too!!
Get creative with toppings: you can add some extra texture and flavor to your salad by adding toasted coconut, chopped nuts, or even a drizzle of honey.
A citrus press is a great tool for juicing your limes.
