Slow Cooker  Beef Brisket

Ingredients

Season and sear the brisket

STEP 1

Cook on both sides for about two minutes until it has a good sear. Move to the slow cooker.

Saute Onions and Garlic

STEP 2

Saute the onions in the same pan you browned the meat in. Then move to crockpot on top of the brisket. 

Deglaze the pan

STEP 3

Pour wine into the pan, scraping the bottom with a wooden spoon and removing the bits. Transfer to the crockpot.

STEP 4

Pour the broth  and Worcestershire into the  pot, cover, and set on LOW for 8-10 hours. Once finished skim fat off the top using a ladle.

Add remaining ingredients and cook

STEP 5

If a thicker gravy is desired, turn the crockpot up to high, whisk the cornstarch with water, and then into the gravy until it thickens.

Thicken the au jus
