Preheat oven to 350°F (175 °C) and line a rimmed baking sheet pan with parchment paper or spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with oil.
Break up and brown the ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease. Stir in the ketchup, salt and pepper, and set the meat to the side.
Using a serrated knife, slice the rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them together.
Place the roll's bottom half onto the sheet pan or baking dish and top them with slices of cheese, next, add the ground beef mixture and finish with a layer of cheese then replace the top of the rolls on.
Mix the melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Everything bagel seasoning in a small mixing bowl. Brush the mixture on the top and sides of the rolls.
Cover with foil and place the sliders in the oven, baking for 10 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 7-10 minutes until cheese is melted and sliders are golden. Serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe easily doubles for a bigger crowd! Use the slider on the recipe card to adjust. *After testing, I like these cheeseburger sliders done in a baking dish for a softer, more juicy burger slider, if you would like them a little more dry then bake on a baking sheet.Make Ahead Cheeseburger Sliders | To avoid soggy rolls, layer your cheese on the bottom and add the cooled ground beef mixture on top, add another layer of cheese. Finally, add tops of the rolls, cover and refrigerate until ready to assemble. Bake as directed, adding 2-3 minutes. Storage TipsStore leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.Reheat | In a 350° F (175° C) oven, place foil-covered sliders on a sheet pan or baking dish and bake for 5 to 10 minutes until the sliders are warmed through, removing the foil the last few minutes. Can you Freeze Cheeseburger Sliders? Yes! Cheeseburger sliders are freezer-friendly. Cool baked sliders completely, wrap well in plastic wrap or foil and transfer to a freezer-safe container or Ziplock baggie, freeze for 3-6 months. To reheat, thaw the sliders in the fridge overnight and bake covered (remove any plastic wrap) with foil for 5-10 minutes on 350°F (175° C). Wrap in a paper towel and place on a microwave-safe plate and heat thawed sliders for 30 seconds, rotate and heat for another 20 seconds until hot, allow to sit for 1 minute. How to microwave frozen sliders | Place paper towel-wrapped hamburger slider on a microwave-safe plate. Make sure your seasonings and Worcestershire sauce are gluten-free.How to Make Keto Cheeseburger Sliders (Low-Carb)
Reduce the onion to ¼ cup.
Grab some keto slider buns (I hear Aldi has great ones!).
Use home-sliced cheese or grated cheese.
Use sugar-free ketchup and OMIT the Worcestershire sauce, don't worry it will still taste great!
