What do Bone Broth, Veggie Broth and Elderberry Syrup have in common?
How does immune boosting, inflammation busting, antioxidant loaded, cold and flu preventing, digestion helping sound? And those are just a few of the benefits in these marvelous homemade concoctions, plus they all taste fantastic and have multiple uses!
Before sugar plums start dancing, turkeys are basting, pies begin baking, cookies are rolling…first, let’s work on boosting our immune systems, because full confession, I love all things Thanksgiving and Christmas, especially all of the wonderful goodies and foods, but I do recognize that we need to keep our systems running and it’s a known fact that sugar depresses the immune system.
Here are three recipes that you can make over the weekend, that separately or together will do marvelous things for your body!
First give this amazing Beef Bone Broth a try, I’ve long know about the benefits, but honestly hadn’t made it — until a couple of weeks ago! And WOW, have I been missing out, BIG TIME! Cook with it, sip it, make it!
Next, try this incredible Homemade Vegetable Broth, infused with great flavors and loaded with vitamins and minerals! Wonderful to use anywhere you’d normally use vegetable broth, or drink it all by itself.
Lastly, as a daily tonic, for all ages! Give this Homemade Elderberry Syrup a whirl, for everyone from your toddler to Granny! Stir into yogurt, drink it straight, toss a shot into your smoothie.
Plan for it, or save it for after the new year, when we all decide to eat healthier, but I encourage you to try and make at least one of these before the holiday season. Let’s arm ourselves for the upcoming flu and cold season!
